Hale Gungor was
born in Adana, Turkey, in 1981. She
started wearing glasses when she was eleven months old. At
the age of two, she ran into a table and got stitches on her
right eyelid.
At the age of two and a half, it turned out she was cross-eyed;
she had an eye operation.
When
she was four, she moved to Mollis,
Switzerland, where she
started kindergarten and primary school.
At the age of seven, she banged her head on the bed she was
jumping on;
she got another twelve stitches. When eight, she moved to
Istanbul.
After ranking first at her primary school
graduation, her
Robert
College period took a
start. At the age of fifteen,
she started working on sculpture with Irfan Korkmazlar and drawing with Gulcin Aksoy. When
eighteen, she went to Parsons School of Design in Paris to
study fine arts.
She returned to Istanbul at the age of twenty-two and
now continues to paint in her little studio.
